Thanks for all of your reviews of Westlife's 3rd May Dublin show. Here's one of our favourites - click here to read some more!

What a night to end the tour with!! From the moment I walked down the aisle to my first ever front row seat I felt the buzz of the fans as they prepared to end the tour in style. The music stopped, the house lights went off and the drop of the curtain was met with screams. Then the piano kicked in and Shane's voice filled The Point. As they were lowered down on their sun circle for the very last time, the four of them beamed with happiness!

Then it was time for an uptempo! The lads ran to different sides of the stage and the crowd jumped to their feet for When You're Looking Like That. Shane was right in front of me and because he is my favourite it was amazing to see him a couple of feet away from me...even more so when he did his naughty dance with that lucky mic stand  The lads all made it back to the the centre of the stage again for If I Let You Go and the crowd were made sit down lol As the lads swayed from side to side the crowd clapped their hands to one of Westlife's old hits!

The stage turned to darkness. Then the spotlight shone on Nicky. He said hello to Georgina and her dad. Then he talked about how the point is getting closed down to be done up and that he can't wait to see us all there next year in a bigger and better point!! Then he introduced David Gest to come and sing on stage with them for Mandy. David looked like he was loving it and the lads couldn't stop laughing at him especially Shane who stopped singing at the start because he was too busy laughing..lol.

The lads ran off stage for a costume change. It felt like ages because I knew Shane was going to come out in front of me.He slowly walked out and the fans gave him a massive cheer. He started into You Are So Beautiful and was later joined by Mark. Once again the two of them did a fab job of it and it just goes to show that they can sing!!

Nicky and Kian came back on stage and the lads performed more songs! Kian made his speech and said how him and the other boys have played 70 nights in The Point and thanked us for that. The lights dimmed and they headed off for another costume change. Then the screen was filled with the words 'THE MEDLEY' and the crowd jumped up!! The lads came down the stairs and with balls of flames started Backstreet Boys...seeing Shane doing the 'am I sexual dance' a couple of feet away from me was too much for me and I froze and didnt get a pic..lol

Then it was on to the rest of the medley and you could see by their dancing that they were still loving this part of the show even after touring so many places!! They came out after the medley in their black(or as Shane likes to call them  their navy) suits...lol to sing Unbreakable, Fool Again and one of my favourites World Of Our Own.

Mark then said that this has been an amazing tour because they got to go to Australia and South Africa and many other places but also because it was the tour that Nicky became a daddy to Rocco and Jay and Nicky just gave him a smile over with a tear in his eye. Shane made a lovely speech and said hi to his parents and that they had to be there because they couldn't miss the last night...lol He also said hi to all of Sligo who was sitting on the right side of The Point. He thanked the fans and asked us all to get out our mobile phones or a lighter or even bunny ears...lol and wave them in the air for You Raise Me Up. I looked back from the front row and saw what the lads saw every night, the amazing sight of thousands of little lights!

They disappeared back into the stage and the crowd started to chant 'WE WANT MORE' while a few girls near me started to chant 'WE WANT SHANE' lol. The music for Flying Without Wings came on (our chanting worked lol) and the lads appeared from under the stage. The fans sang along with Shane and you could see how happy all four of them were.

It was onto the last song of the night, and of The Love Tour 2007. They introduced The Rose and I held up my banner for Shane knowing it was my last chance to get his attention! When Mark was singing my banner caught Shane's eye and he started to read it but couldn't read it all so I ran up to the barrier and he read the rest. He smiled and laughed and gave me a thumb up with that famous Shane wink! I was delighted and had never felt so happy in my life. When I went to take a picture of him he saw my Shane t-shirt and smiled at my camera..my favourite ever picture now!

The Rose came to an end and all the lads went to the centre of the stage and gave each other hugs saying that's it... the end of the Love Tour. They walked back up the steps for the last time and gradually disappeared into the stage. Nicky threw his jacket into the air and it landed on Shane's head...lol then all the lads started to jump up and down as it lowered. Shane's hand stayed up until the very end and all the fans waved goodbye. That was it. The Love Tour was over. And they ended it with a fantasitc night. I just want to say thank you Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian for 5 fantasic nights, I enjoyed it so much and thank you Shane for making my dreams come true by giving me a wave. See you next year in a bigger and better Point and no doubt more venues  What a tour...

Thanks for all of your reviews of Westlife's 2nd May Dublin show. Here's one of our favourites - click here to read some more!

Well folks, I thought Aberdeen was brilliant, but I have to admit if I didn't love my hubby loads before I love him even more now. After surprising my daughters and I with the tickets, I have to admit he has given us a night we'll remember the rest of our lives.

From start to finish the concert was absolutely amazing, our 4th row seats were just perfect. The lads smiled and laughed the whole show through. I have to admit I was the mad woman who threw the 2 Scotland jumper clad teddies on stage for Rocco and Jay. Fortunately and amazingly Nicky seemed to love them. We were all soooooooooooo chuffed when Kian sat them on the step, then totally gobsmacked when Nicky wouldn't let Mark put them backstage. and on the steps they sat all night.

The lads clearly love their jobs, and even more so when on home ground, in Scotland they seem to give 150% in Dublin wow that must go up to 200%. During 'Unbreakable' my heart went out to Nicky who seemed to be finding it hard to hold himself together, clearly his thoughts were with his little boys at that point.

All I can say is thanks for an amazing night lads, and I hope you have an awesome 3 months off, and please please please Nicky keep our teddies, they were flung with love (and a bump on the head for the poor guy in front of me)

Dublin Review – 8 May 2007

1 may 2007

Thanks for all of your reviews of Westlife's 1st May Dublin show. Here's one of our favourites - click here to read some more!

The first two shows had been absolutly amazing, but the one we'd really been preparing for was this one. We'd show them the Dutch fans still love them as much as ever. So we brought our little orange balls, the flag of our country, orange hats, our banner, and presents for Rocco and Jay.

Walking up to the front row during the support act was an amazing feeling, I kind of felt like them when they walked up like that two years ago. We sat down and just looked at the stage amazed that we were actually there. I'd been front row in Holland, but it's impossible to compare...I was so nervous and excited all at once.

The show was just perfect, being so close it was almost scary to be able to actually make eye contact. During Nicky's first speech we were trying to make him read our banner, saying: 'Nicky, we've got presents for Jay & Rocco, make Dave come get them.' And on a little paper next to it, we wrote 'Please' to make it sound a bit nicer.  And one of us held up the bag with presents, but at that time he didn't see it.

Mark and Nicky were making fun out of each other during Love Takes Two, Nicky was dancing, and I'd swear Mark was supposed to do the same thing at that time, but he was just laughing with Nicky. Was really lovely to see them so happy together.

During My Love we held the banner for Nicky up again, and he read it, he must have thought we were crazy, and was kinda right there, since we were really waiting for someone to actually pick it up.  When it didn't happen, we decided to throw it, like the rest of the presents he was getting, so we just had to wait for the right moment.

The medley was perfect once again, Mark and Nicky were still making fun together, Mark almost slipped at one point, was then laughing with the band, and when they were up, starting Uptown Girl he forgot the dance, causing all the lads to laugh. Soo cute! They really were having fun.

During Unbreakable, Nicky got tons of present, he was even asking for more at one point, but he was on the other side of the stage, so we didn't throw ours yet, but everyone was paying attention to Nicky and not Shane who was seriously singing Unbreakable.

During World Of Our Own I threw Nicky one of the orange hats. I've been doing that in Holland ever since the Greatest Hits tour, and he'd been wearing it every year since, so I was hoping he would do it again this year, and he did! He wore it, and then he threw it back to me, totally making my evening even better then it already was. Now all we had to do was get rid of the presents.

So during Flying Without Wings when he was on our side of the stage I threw the bag to him. He had to dive away, cause I almost knocked him out, but the presents were delivered. He mimed 'Thank you' to us, and he made sure the present went to the middle of the stage, so he could keep them with him.

When they were leaving the stage it was the first thing he picked up, he couldn't even carry all the presents alone, so Mark had to help him, it was great to see everybody loves the twins soo much.  It was a perfect night, a perfect ending for this tour, although I wish I could have done the final show. Bring on next year! Bring on front row again! *FINGERS CROSSED* for that, will start doing it now!

Lads thanks for three amazing nights, it was perfect! Love ya!

Thanks for all of your reviews of Westlife's 30th April Dublin show. Here's one of our favourites - click here to read some more!

Just came in from tonight's show and what a blast it was. It being my 100th show made it extra special and the lads were in great form.

'When You're Looking Like That' was rocking, the lads giving their best every second of it.

Best part of the show had to be the Medley, with the lads giving it all, Nicky messing his steps up at the start of 'Backstreet's Back' and showing loads of his 'six-pack' as he didnt tuck his shirt in properly. Kian for once knew the routine

Shane dedicated 'You Raise Me Up' to a close friend of the band from Sligo who sadly passed away today - RIP. Mark dedicated the next song 'World Of Our Own' to him as well, because he would have wanted the lads to be on stage tonight and have a good time.

Unfortunately the show came to an end all to soon but it was an unforgetable one!

Thanks a million lads, here's to the next 100!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I discovered Westlife were playing at the Point on 28th April, which happens to be my birthday and didn’t really do much about it. However, after seeing the show in Birmingham, twice, I decided I really wanted to see it again and what better way to spend my birthday then seeing the lads perform in their home country.
So, having managed to buy pretty much the last ticket Ticketmaster was selling!! I get up really really early on Saturday and drive all the way from the middle of England to Holyhead, catch a ferry and arrive in Dublin! I spent the afternoon chilling out with a pint of Guinness (has to be done!) before making my way to the Point about 6pm. It is a really nice venue (I’d never been before).

Anyway, after what seemed like forever Westlife finally came on stage about 9pm. The show was fantastic. Highlights for me include the opening song “Total Eclipse of the Heart” where the guys are standing in a circular cage which drops down from the ceiling in front of a projection of the sun and the medley – 'celebrating the world's greatest boybands” which is stunning – whoever said Westlife can’t dance?! The best song for me had to be Picture of You, Boyzone.

Other great moments – during Kian’s speech the lads interrupted him and his brother and niece came on stage and gave him a birthday cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. Also, during Shane’s speech he brought Nicole up on stage, she is the most gorgeous little girl! With prompts from Shane she said all the lads' names and hello to a few family members as well as Louis Walsh. She then sang a few words from several songs including “Mandy” and “Uptown Girl”. Nicky even got her to say “up the Dubs!” much to Shane and the audience's amusement! She then had her photo taken with the lads. She was so well behaved and not at all bothered by the cheering audience.

All too soon the lads were singing “The Rose” and taking a bow. They walked off stage and the house lights came up, the show was over and it was time to sit in traffic for an hour to get out of the car park!

I just really want to say thank you to all the unseen people backstage who help make the show happen. And of course to the lads for working hard and making the evening really enjoyable and the best birthday I’ve had in a long time!!

Thank you Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian – Westlife.

Good fun again last night. Kian went wrong during the medley and couldn't really figure out where he was in the routine! Shane put his arm around him at the end of the song and gave him a big squeeze and was laughing at him.

Someone handed up a HUGE card to Mark and he put it on the stage standing up behind him. Loadsa stuff thrown onto the stage including a few teddy bears for Nicky that he tied to the end of his microphone for a song. Nicky said hi to his nan who was in the crowd and congratulated her on becoming a great grandmother. Shane picked up a teddy bear as well.

They were in good form and was another great concert.

Great show on Tuesday, just got home today, I am wiped out! As usual I was made to feel right at home in Dublin thanks to the lovely locals.

As for the show, it was the perfect ending to the tour for me, best seats so far and the boys were on top form (not that I expected anything less). I even got a wink and a wave from Mark when I was least expecting it.

Really enjoyed myself, thanks lads for a great tour.

20th April 2007 the day Nicky and Georgina's twins were born! Then there was the lesser matter of a concert at the Point Depot to think about. Phoned the Point twice in the afternoon to see if the show would still go ahead cos who could blame them if it was cancelled,  but a really nice girl at the Point confirmed the show was still going ahead even following the birth of the babies.

As the start of Total Eclipse came on and the circle began to turn I still wondered whether or not Nicky would be there, the circle turned another bit and I counted 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 legs! Great he is here!! The crowd went mad when they saw him and he beamed down from above the audience. When they all ran down for When You're Looking Like That the roof nearly lifted off the building, Nicky only had to smile or wave and everyone screamed for him. All of them were in great form and why wouldn't they be as they were celebrating the latest edition to the Westlife family!

Nickys usual speech was interrupted by Kian and the 3 other lads joined him at the front of the stage to give the crowd the chance to cheer on the new dad and to give him a chance to tell the crowd that all was well with his new family. Everyone was delighted to hear they were all doing well and nearly lifted the roof off again.

The rest of the show was amazing and the medley was brill, dunno how Nicky found the energy but he was probably going on pure adrenalin with the excitement of the past few days. Each of the lads congratulated him in their speeches too and really the night was all about Nicky and his special day. Just in case Nicky was daydreaming too much about Rocco and Jay someone brought him back to earth by hitting him with a teddy bear at the very end of the show! Certainly woke him up and the rest of the lads got a laugh out of it.

Congrats Georgina and Nicky was great to share in a small way your celebrations and its a concert I will never forget!

I just came back from the concert and I can't really put in words what I experienced there. It was my first time at a Westlife concert in Dublin and although I already saw the concert 4 times, I still got excited at the start.

As they came down singing Total Eclipse of the Heart, which is, by the way, one of my favorite songs, my heart started beating like it was the first time I saw the show. From there on, it went better with every single song they sang and the atmosphere was just amazing! I have never in my whole life seen such a great concert!!

As I left The Point after the concert, I knew one thing: I will be back to Dublin next year to see Westlife here again because I have never seen a better concert!!

Thanks lads, I really can't wait to see you again

Well, even though they had done 3 nights already in Belfast, it felt like opening night all over again as the lads gave just as much energy and emotion as always! It was the best night ever in my life, we were front row and I have never experienced such a buzz like that at a concert before.

Right from the spectacular opening of Total Eclipse Of The Heart the crowd were the loudest of the Belfast leg of the tour, as the boys said, we were on fire tonight and so were they!! I have never felt so much love before for a band like the audience gave towards Westlife, the screams never faded and no one sat in their seats, plus I have never seen so many people crying before. Please come back next year!

Well I have to say...tonight was the best night of this year for me! They always come back with something better just when you think they can't do anymore to surprise you or make you love them more. But tonight...I love them more than ever...even looking at Shane's face on the screeen made me bubble with love and respect for them! Each and every one of them has made my life so much better...if they weren't around I would have nothing to look forward to every Christmas when I get their dvds and cds...and every year they come to Belfast! Belfast loves you so much boys we cannot put it into words!

I am sorry to those who were behind me 'cos I did nothing but scream, sing, and wave my arms about like this was the first time i had been let out all year! lol.

I loved the medley and have clips of it on my phone which I adore and listen to all the time. I loved the whole boyband medley, the choice of songs were suprising. I loved the way they started it with Total Eclipse Of The Heart. It was a good balance of old faves and new faves.

Also I found what Shane said about his mum and dad (saying the song You Raise Me Up was for them) was extremely sweet.

Westlife Still Thrill Their Favourite Fans – 18 April 2007

ALMOST nine years since it all started and one band member less, in the form of Brian McFadden, Ireland's most successful boyband just keep getting better and better each time they come to their favourite venue - Belfast.

With six annual visits to the Odyssey Arena already under their belts anyone would have been forgiven for thinking that this year's Westlife concert could have turned out to be somewhat repetitive.

However Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily once again captured the hearts of the Belfast faithful as they returned to the Odyssey for the seventh consecutive year with yet another outstanding performance.

They may have serenaded their Ulster fan base with such usual suspects as When You're Looking Like That, If I Let You Go and World of Our Own, but Louis Walsh's record breaking heart-throbs didn't fail in making this year's show just as unique as the others - if not more so.

Entertainment was the name of the game from the very start. The lads made a grand entrance, opening the show singing Total Eclipse of the Heart while being lowered from the ceiling in a black circular backdrop, which cleverly eclipsed a glowing moon on the screen behind come the end of the song.

That was only the beginning. A couple of outfit changes and a few songs later, including Mandy, You Are So Beautiful and Love Takes Two - the best was yet to come.

Much to the delight of the large female contingent in the screaming audience Westlife paid tribute to the World's Greatest Boybands with a medley that included their own renditions of the Backstreet Boys' smash-hit Backstreet's Back, New Kids on the Block's The Right Stuff, Boy-zone classic Picture of You and Take That's Everything Changes.

After the excitement of witnessing the foursome not only sing other performers' songs but copy the corresponding dance moves, it was back to swaying lighters and flashing glow sticks to complete the 90-minute show on the dazzling stage complete with a lit-up horseshoe-shaped set of steps and staircase.

Crowd favourite Flying Without Wings and a faultless version of The Rose brought the night to a fitting climax as the meticulous Westlife boys thanked their "loudest fans" and promised to see them again very soon.

OMG! What an amazing night! I'm just back from the concert and I wanna go see it again! They all did fantastic - not a step or word out of place! The entire show was just amazing - especially the medley, but you should have seen how many couples were there holding each other to Unbreakable and the amount of people crying to Flying Without Wings. It was unbelievable! They were all on top form and the entire show was just fantastic. As usual, it was simply phenomenal and it was great to hear some of the old songs that we haven't heard for a while! And Nicky's looking as gorgeous as ever!

That wee arena's roof almost blew off from the appreciative crowd!! Well done you noisy lot!

I did think when I saw my seat that was well past the stage end that I was in for a dissapointment, but thankfully no  ....and they say 'they save the best till last', I'm still agog, how can an 80 minute set seem to last hours? I still don't know but that performance went on forever in my head - but it will have to last me at least till next year's tour!

Lads were in top form - probably keen to get back on home soil, bless them - they are all in Ireland now on their final leg. This time though, when Shane said 'we always get a great welcome in Scotland' I felt it came from the heart...even if a fair few of us sassanachs slipped over on a border raid! LOL

I want to extend more than a thank you to the lads for a great show that still threw up a million surprises, much to my amazement after 5 shows, but the biggest thank you goes to the hospitable aberdonians (whatever the correct term is )I'll be chalking the AECC as a new date to go to again, they were all so lovely and helpful, and above all a complete craic....a bit like the lads eh!

Joanne’s Review From Second Aberdeen Concert – 12 April 2007

11 April 2007

ok the concert, well what can i say about it, again once the music started i was away and was acting more of Amys age than my own but it was great. Amy loved the eclipse part of the show and the boys looked relaxed and fresh on it too. Nicky said hello to us all and that he was glad to see us and thanked us for the support. They sung all the songs well and did their dances which are great. Amy loves Mandy and that went down really well. Then just before the medley started i went to get somehting out of my bag and who was there but Kevin, i thought is it Kevin, but he sat in the pit if you like just off the stage it was very dark but i got pic, Villy had helped to make it better

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

and then it was the medley but have to say i was watching Kevin's reactions to the dance moves, and Mark kept looking over so i think he knew he was there and kevin gave a wink and a smile at Mark which is so cute and they love each other so much bless them, Kevin left shortly after medley , and then the boys carried on with their songs. My brain must have been asleep cause everyone was leaving, and The rose had just played but it was the last song and i hadnt realised lol. never mind, We all ran out to see if we could see the boys leaving and wedid, the bus was away to leave and Nicky was sat in the front with the driver wearing a tracksuit and he smiled and waved at us which was lovely, and we headed home,

I think the second night was better for me as i had got to see the lads and just felt happier as Amy was getting to have all the fun too which was cool.

I forgot Mark smiled and waved at Amy, and Kian blew her a kiss which was amazing and so well appreciated, made her night and mine xx

Joanne’s Review From First Aberdeen Concert – 12 April 2007

10 April 2007

Well what can you say,I got in, gave the man the ticket and after getting a programme and a drink i took my seat. I sat there then it went dark, and McDonalad brotherc came on singing 5 songs i think. Doing a great job eveyrone was up dancing and cheering for the lads and they did a good job.

Then about 40 minutes later, after a lot of people behind the curtain, It went dark and the screens to the side of the arena were lit up with planet pictures as if you were travelling throguh space, the backdrop to the stage is lit as a burning sun, then came lights and a dark circle platform starts to descend on the arena , then came the vocals, of the four gorgeous boys, to Total Eclipse of the heart, amazing vocals and looking great in black outfits, and not at all scared of the height, As they came down the audience were screaming by this point, and the lads were ready to sing their second song,

When youre looking like that, and OMG how has a saying ever sounded so true, They looked slick, great dance moves and vocals, and every girl in the arena i think must have thoguht OMG you know the lads are there and it was a moment of excitement, then it was If I let you go, then Kian spoke to us.(i think at this point)anyway, he had said he had seen a banner saying "Total Eclipse of the a*** (Bottom to be poilte), and he didnt get it, he thanked us for coming then said if we were called Mandy wed love the next track. Off the stage they went, then back they came with shiny shirts and Nickys waistcoat,

A piano ascended from the ground to the stage, and Shane and Mark stood at opposite ends of stage had the spotlights on them for You are so beautiful.(My fav song off album) they did amazing, their vocals were fantastic, and the song beautiful, but i was so happy when Nicky joined them on stage again lol....

Then What makes a man, with them sat at the piano, after that Nicky came and spoke to us and sai that they dont always get to sing songs form the album, but they decided seeing as it was a love tour they would sing Love Takes Two which got eveyrone up dancing and cheering with Westlife throwing in a few moves too for good measure.

OK< by this point i was so excited, and all of a sudden a voice said… 'This is our tribute to them, the best boybands in the world'

then on a huge screen came pictures of Boyzone Take That, BSB and NKOTB all of which Westlife would perform too starting with Backstreets Back and wow by this point i was dancing and jumping up and down like i was 7 years old at xmas, I was like a little child and was amzing to here them sing Boyband classics that bought memories of when i was younger and in love with the bands, next they sung Right Stuff (NKOTB) doing dance routines to boot which added to the excitement, then Picture of you by Boyzone followed by Everything change by Take That, the dance moves again were slick and well fitted in with the songs, then the lads went to the top of the platform and sang a line of When will i be famous(Bros)and they went from side to side of stage singing and dancint to Uptown girl, which got us all up on our feet.

Then we were left witha a spotlight on the musicians especially Andew the guitarist, and they played an instrumental of Swear it again which was lovely and calmed evryone down until Westlife appearred on stage again, starting to sing unbreakable then Fool again which was great to see the lads sing live. wearing another set of clothes this time it was suits,. and OMG i remembr seeing Nicky, thinking wow, he loked good it has to be said,, after fool again had finished Shane said hello to us all, and was having a joke as someon had thrown a thong onto stage and he picked it up and looked at it lol, then he saw another pair and they said hapy easter westlife and he thoguht hilarious and he said hed never wear them, well stranger things had happened, with a very cheeky grin and laughter hwich melted 4500 peoples heart. He was saying that he was glad to be here and glasgow were alwasy loud and we were close to them which meade eveyrone scream a little bit louder.Kian and the lads were like hurry uop Shane can we go to next song, and Shane said they dont know whos boss., lol
He asked us to get our mobile phones out, put th elight on and wave them in the air which we all did and had lots of fun, and they sung You Raise me Up, which the platformed movedc with the song, then came down but stuck for a second and Shane looked a bit shockes and laughed at it. Then they sung World of Our own and Mark talked over a few bars at the start and said he like to thank the musicians the tour gang and also us for being there and supporting them, then they sung out WOOO and went off stage, and that was it, concert over for another year................................ONLY JOKING, after wehat seemed forever and everyone screaming WE WANT WESTLIFE< we want westlife, they came back on in white suits looking great, and sung The Rose which was beuatiful and was a perfect end to the night, No well see you next year Aberdeen which makes me think they wont be back here next year, as they usually say it then they went off stage and that was that, all finished

As we made our way out f the crowded arena we saw Two tour buses pull away assuming Westlife were on them, and they were away to have a relaxing night after outting on a fanstic show, I have to do it all again tonight front row, but to the side but im taking Amy so we are going to watch them and have fun and scream all over again for them.

Im a bit sore throat today and feel like last night was surreal but am glad to be able to tell you all what happened, and i hope you enjoy the pictures and the review of the concert.

love and

Just back home and what a concert I had. The 8th was my birthday and I had my first ever front row. It was fantastic. The boys did not disappoint, from beginning to end everyone was on their feet. The highlight for me was the medley and the dance moves were just the icing on my very big birthday cake. I would like to thank them for making my birthday extra special and for again putting on a great show and showing everyone they are not your typical boy band.

What am amazing night, starting off with a brilliant song. We had amazing seats, front row to the side of the stage. Nobody was beside me or in front of me 'cause I was at the end of the row. I was jumping around and screaming like a loony. I was the only one in the row wearing the Shane t-shirt, so when it came to them singing If I Let You Go I started waving to Shane and he waved back. Ohh I was so, so happy. Nicky did the same when they were singing What Makes A Man. They must have thought I was a nutter!

The medley was fab! Loved the dance moves. Loved everything about the whole concert. So happy I went for the 3 nights. Shane looked amazing as always!! He is a fab dancer.

This was my 8th Westlife concert, so can't wait for next year. My mum keeps on getting me and her better tickets every year. Every year I go to a westlife concert the more I want to meet them (Shane). Hopefully my turn to meet them will come soon!!!!

There was no words to describe it. It was more than BRILLIANT!

That was a fantastic concert!! Loved it during 'World Of Our Own' where Shane hit the microphone and cracked up!

The medley was amazing, they made the songs sound their own. Nicky and Shane waved at me and my friend (well, my friend thinks they did - I think they were waving at the block in general lol).

And I nearly cried when they sang 'Love Takes Two'....that's one of my fave songs that hasn't been released!!! 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' was just, wow!! I can't think of the right words, but they put so much heart and soul into it.....in fact they did that to the whole show. Loved every second of it

Thanks for a great night lads, looking forward to it again tonight

Westlife At SECC – 10 April 2007

WESTLIFE kicked off their Love Tour show in spectacular fashion by being lowered to the stage on a high-rise platform that eclipsed a computer generated sun.

But far from leaving the thousands of fans in the dark, it was the start of a greatest hitspacked show.

On the first leg of their three-night stint in the city, the Irish boyband opened with their version of Bonnie Tyler 's Total Eclipse of the Heart, but it was not long before the tempo changed and they had the audience on their feet for When You're Looking Like That.

Seven years on from their first gig in Glasgow, it was then straight back to their roots with the hit which started it all - Swear It Again.

They quickly moved though hit after hit in a slick and well-managed show and paid their own tribute to other boybands.

Showing off some dance skills, Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian burst into New Kids on the Block, Back Street Boys and Boyzone hits before bowing out with their latest number 1 The Rose.

Show Mush Go On For Westlife Boys – 10 April 2007

IT'S called the Love Tour and you could certainly feel it at the SECC last night as Westlife turned up the balladry to record levels of mush.

It was everything you would expect from a Westlife gig - expensive hair gel, more special effects than Star Wars and more costume changes than a month long run of Cats.

The band kicked off with their new single Total Eclipse Of The Heart before launching into a super-loud version of When You're Looking Like That.

The highlight of the evening came when the quartet performed a medley of songs from other boybands such as the Backstreet Boys and fellow Irishmen Boyzone. The place went ballistic.

They might be seen as musical performing seals, but a night out with Kian and the lads is a great craic.

Westlife, Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle – 6 April 2007

Westlife took Newcastle by storm, playing to a mainly female audience at the Metro Radio Arena.

The crowd ranged from young girls to mothers - and perhaps even grandmothers - all screaming their lungs out.

The band made a spectacular entrance, coming down from the ceiling in a giant sphere, which blocked out a video of the sun, as they sang their cover of Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart.

advertisementFrom then on, the stage show and performance was nothing short of flawless, with fireworks adding to the atmosphere. It was enough to give the thousands of fans goosebumps. The light show was also great - they must have had a pretty big budget.

Among the highlights were smash hits such as When You're Looking Like That, Uptown Girl and Fool Again.

Shane Filan and Mark Feehily performed a duet of You Are So Beautiful, and the band paid tribute to the greatest boy bands, including Boyzone, Backstreet Boys and Take That. Westlife, who were playing their seventh show at the Arena, were truly brilliant - and everyone would have gone home well pleased.

Swooning In A Bubble Of Love – 5 April 2007

Claire O'Boyle caught Westlife at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena last night. The lads are at the venue again tonight

I fell in love last night. It was completely unexpected and I say with absolute sincerity that it was not my fault.

I didn't go looking for love. It came looking for me.

Westlife's Love Tour 2007 came to Newcastle last night and it was clear from the start that I and the thousands of others who went to see the Irish angels would leave the building in a big swooning bubble.

The whole concert was designed to make us all feel gooey and romantic - everything from the warm-up acts to the rosy lighting and hazy close-ups of the band's handsome faces.

Kian, Nicky, Mark and Shane were full of the chocolatey charm we have come to expect from them.

And when they started singing, with what must be four of the most sweet and mellow voices in modern pop, women physically bubbled over with excitement and what I can only imagine to be true, pure love.

Westlife started their performance with a smoldering version of Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart.

They descended onto the stage inside a huge steel circle and glowed in the celestial light it cast as they sang.

Mark and Shane battled with one another vocally, as if each was so overwhelmed with brutal emotion that he needed to be heard.

I was almost sure then that Mark was a little bit terrified, until he saw the look in my eyes. And that maybe Shane did need me last night, more than he had ever needed me before.

That was of course until they recovered their emotions moments later and jumped straight into upbeat tune When You're Looking Like That.

And then came the amazing Boy Band Medley - a tribute to the world's greatest boybands (and so a tribute to the world's greatest groups really).

They started with Backstreet Boys' Everybody and some funky Backstreet moves. Then came Right Stuff by New Kids on the Block and a sense of that band's tough 90s attitude.

Of course there was Boyzone, a perky version of Picture of You and some essential Take That with Everything Changes.

They hinted at Bros with a flash of When Will I Be Famous before breaking into their own great cover of Uptown Girl.

But another emotional blow came soon with the heartwrenching Unbreakable.

While I swooned by myself I saw two couples standing near me. One pair was entwined in an intimate embrace, caught up in the Westlife love bubble. The other was not quite so content. The man was pawing at his girlfriend's arm, trying to get her attention and share a moment of romance.

But she gazed with the rest of us at the real objects of our affection - the four classy crooners whose charm and sweet tones sent us all of a-flutter.

Mel’s Wembley Review – 4 April 2007

31 March 2007

I climbed out of bed and raced into the bathroom, the adrenaline was really kicking in! It took me three hours to decide what I was wearing and FINALLY the time came for me and my dad to leave for the two hour journey to Wembley. We got there and decided to go and get something to eat first but I was on such a high I couldn’t stomach anything.

We got a bit lost trying to find the arena but we got there in the end and I bought my merchandise. I handed it to my dad and he walked back to the car and left me to go and have the time of my life.

I met up with a few of my friends and made my way into the arena. I took my seat and waited very impatiently for all the support acts to finish. Suddenly all the crowd started sc reaming but Westlife were nowhere in sight. I looked to the left of me, and Louis Walsh walked right past me!

Finally, after what seemed like ages the lights went down and Westlife blew us away from start to finish! In Shane's words, Wembley were "The craziest and most fun crowd of the tour so far!"

Westlife made my night so unbelievable and it’s a day I will never forget! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR WESTLIFE!

Last nights show was phenomenal! I was completely blown away by the lads' vocals and presence on stage. From start to finish I was dancing and singing along...I just couldn't help myself!!!

The medley was definitely a highlight...those lads sure can dance!! Although I must say the best point for me was that I managed to get a smile and a wave from Shane which just made my year!! Thank you so much Shane!

The last songs were quite emotional and heartfelt...you could see just how grateful and happy the lads were to be there on that stage in front of hundreds of fans.

Thanks for the show guys, you make so many of us fans happy including myself. Shane - I will be there again next year so please don't forget to wave and make my year once more! x x x

Wembley Review – 4 April 2007

31 March 2007

Thanks for all of your reviews of Westlife's 31st  March Wembley show. Here's one of our favourites - click here to read some more!

It all start with when we walked down Wembley the Westlife vibe was in the air. We waited by the gates for 4 hours to see if Westlife would come out, in that time we saw all the support acts but Mark did drive in with Nicky in the back, he had his window wound down and he waved at us.

Went and found our seats and sat down. The atmosphere was electric and when the concert started they came down from the ceilling in a round moon that coveed the sun behind them, it went with the song. It was the best part of the night. They also sang some other classic Westlife songs like When You're Looking Like That, If I Let You Go and What Makes A Man.

Next they did the boy band melody, that got the audience out of their seats and jumping up and down. They did songs from the world's biggest boybands around like Backstreet Boys, New Kids On The Block, Take That, Boyzone and everyone's fave boy band Westlife. The best part was the Boyzone bit at the end of the medley.

They did Uptown Girl to show that they are still the world's best band, then next part Shane and Mark came out and sang You Are So Beautiful to the sound of a piano, then Nicky and Kian came out and they sang an old classic, Love Takes Two, which I loved to bits. Then while we waited for Westlife to come back on they played Swear It Again on the guitar, which was ace 'cause Westlife were not singing but the whole of the audience was!

Next was Unbreakable and that was great, then You Raise Me Up, the whole arena was on their feet singing to this, and the last one The Rose was also brill.

Going down Wembley way on the way home and I was on cloud nine. It was the best concert by far, loved it. Glad to see that Westlife can perform live after all this time and still be as good as the first time they performed live.
Loved it.

My Wembley Concert Review – 3 April 2007

31st March 2007

The night before I was leaving from Greece to see Westlife live in London with my mum was one of the longest nights ever… It felt like the moment I would get in the plane and arrive at Wembley would never come lol… We woke up at about 6am. I was feeling like I couldn’t breathe from the excitement and I had so many butterflies in my stomach lol. The airplane took off at 8:30am Greek time and that was when I felt the moment I’d see Westlife was finally coming really close… We arrived in London at 10:30am UK time and took the train to Wembley.

At around 7pm me and my mum took our seats in the Wembley Arena and then the Support Acts came on stage. First was a boyband called Dyyce who sung 4 songs I think, then another boyband called Code 5 and finally The Unconventionals from the X Factor came on stage. They were all good but I couldn’t wait for Westlife to come on stage!! After the support acts there was about 40 minutes music playing and showing in the screens people’s faces in the audience which was really funny to see their reactions haha.

Then after what it seemed like ages the lights went down and eeeeveryone got off their seats screaming SO loudly!! I knew the moment I was waiting for so long was finally there! The lads were about to come on stage! The show was starting! And WHAT a way to start the show! There was some kind of explosion on the screens and then a cycled platform started moving down from the roof of the arena and yes Westlife were on there! I luckily knew they’d come from there so I didn’t miss them for a second but I haven’t said anything to my mum and she was looking at the whole arena screaming but couldn’t see where the lads were coming from lol bless her so when she did she joined in hehe! I loooved the entrance so much! They started singing Total Eclipse Of The Heart on that platform and the crowd brought down the arena. They sounded incredible and the whole view was amazing! I was singing along and screaming all together lol. I could believe they were finally there!

Then they walked down the cycled platform and When You’re Looking Like That started! Everyone was singing and dancing up and down and the lads’ dance moves were great! I love this song and never get bored of it!! Then they started performing If I Let You Go. It was lovely and it brought us back to the old days. Then Nicky welcomed us and thanked us for supporting Westlife all those nine years they are together and he introduced Mandy. Everyone was singing along and a difference from the past years is that Nicky sung Brian’s part on the song! He sounded great!

The lads went off stage and after a few minutes Shane appeared on stage with another outfit and started performing Your Are So Beautiful. When he finished his part of the song Mark appeared on stage as well to perform his part and it was just the two of them on stage and one of the musicians playing the piano. Shane was on the left side of the arena and Mark on the right. What can I say about this performance… It was absolutely incredible! They both sounded fantastic, so soulful and the atmosphere was so angelic. The crowd went mad clapping and screaming when they finished.

The lights went down and then all the lads were at the centre of the stage with the musician and the piano and music for What Makes A Man started. This song is one of my favorites when it’s sung live! It’s touching me so much and their vocals are fantastic! I was almost in tears, it was very sweet and they were feeling the performance so much.

Kian welcomed us then and he asked if we were enjoying the show so far and of course we replied positively but he said we could do better than that so we screamed even louder hehe! He said that when the time for the tour comes every year they and they decide which songs they will perform they sometimes listen to the Westlife albums to decide and that’s what they did this year as well. And that this being a Love Tour they decided to perform a song that was never a single but it’s a really great song. And then while he was about to announce which song it was he asked us to give him a minute and he put his jacket off lol so the arena went mad and then he said the song was Love Takes Two! Oh My God is what I have to say!! This one is one of my favorite Westlife songs so it being performed live years after its release on The Greatest Hits album when I was thinking I’d never see it live was absolutely amazing! They did a cute little dance routine along with it and their voices were fabulous! The crowd loved every minute of it!

The last song of this set was My Love. It’s always a very sweet song to be performed live and it had the crowd singing along and waving our hands from left to right.

The lads then disappeared from the stage and after a few minutes the screen wrote The Medley and everyone went mad. It was followed by a voice saying this was their tribute to the biggest boybands. I don’t exactly remember how it was said. I was going mad screaming and jumping up and down lol. The screens started showing pictures of boybands… and one of the lads too at the end. Then Westlife appeared on stage and they performed Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) Backstreet Boys’ song. They sounded absolutely great and they did the dancing routines that BSB were doing. It was fantastic and a great way to start the Medley! Whoever said the lads only sit on stools singing should get it back cause once again they prove they can dance great and leave us all going WOOOW!! Then up next was You Got It (The Right Stuff)  song originally sung by New Kids On The Block. It was very hot too and they once again did all the dancings as they did for all the medley songs. This was followed by Picture Of You (Boyzone) and Everything Changes (Take That). All the songs were great and the lads performed and danced amazingly. Then they sung one line of When Will I Be Famous and they closed the boyband Medley with Uptown Girl going from side to side of the stage and getting the crowd to keep dancing and singing along.

When they left the stage the musicians started playing Swear It Again. It wasn’t performed by Westlife. It was only played by the musicians and the crowd was singing which was lovely. Then the lads appeared and started performing Unbreakable. I adore this song live and their voices are fantastic! I love Marky’s voice on Brian’s part. I think he sings it so passionately and with this soulful voice it’s just incredible.

Up next was Fool Again! I’m so glad they sung it on tour!! I’ve never seen them performing it live so I was so happy and excited to be hearing it! It was great and they’ve done a more up-beat version of it which sounded amazing! When it finished Shane welcomed us and asked us if we were happy they sung Fool Again and whether we liked the up-beat version of it that they’ve done. Of course we did Shane yaaa!! The he said that we were the loudest the maddest crowd of this tour so far! Woohoo!! You can imagine what happened when he said that lol! Then he said they’d perform a song that helped Westlife very much two years ago and it was loved by people and he asked everyone to put out their mobiles and flash the lights and announced You Raise Me Up. They performed it on the centre of the stage on a cycle platform which raised them up during the song. All the flashes lighting was sooo beautiful as well. We were all singing along and the atmosphere was electric.

Then the music of World Of Our Own started being played and Mark started talking on it and welcomed us all and said a few thank yous to the band that was playing the instruments, to Louis Walsh as well I think and to us all the fans. He introduced World Of Our Own and said the show was unfortunately coming to its end. Everyone was dancing and singing along. I loved the sign of a door they are doing with their hands while singing “… have always been here outside of my door…” it’s very cute hehe.

The lads then disappeared and we were all screaming and cheering for more! And they did come back… clouds were created on stage and the lads came singing Flying Without Wings! It was amazing and I’m so glad they keep singing this song every year. I adore it and I’m never ever bored of the feeling I get hearing it performed live.

Then the last song came… *sniff* … by then I knew it was the end of the concert and I was in tears… It was The Rose and once again they managed to bring out so many beautiful emotions. At one point Nicky got a Rose from the ground and it was a very cute moment.

The Rose finished and they all came in the middle of the stage and said goodbye and that they will see us all NEXT YEAR! Yaaaa they said that on both nights! I SO can’t wait to see them next year again. They gave me amazing moments on both nights and I had the time of my life. I’m so happy the crowd was so amazing too! SO loud and lively! Once again you guys made me so proud to be a Westlife fan! ROLL ON NEXT YEAR!
