Caption: Westlife's lead singer Shane Filan, drives at the ninth hole at the Pearl Valley Golf Course, Paarl,Cape Town. Filan, as well as Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne,2 other members of the famous group, spent yesterday afternoon on the golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Cape Town - Kian is the prankster in hotelrooms, Mark eats the most and is the most shy, Nicky gets the mail from admirers and Shane plays the best golf.

That was a little bit of the info shared with us, The Ctizen (newspaper name), by one of the members of the Irish popgroup Westlife.

The group, who admitted that they are addicted to Cape Town, are back in the Mother City after a year.

The group performs, as part of their Love Tour, on Friday at the Hamilton's Rugby Club in Green Point (wrong venue u idiot reporter), along with the American singer Michael Bolton and the Danish singer Jascha Richter from Michael Learns to Rock fame.

And if anyone was thinking that Westlife just come to Cape Town to sing, think again, they also come to play Golf!!!!

Nicky Byrne, a member of the group, said that after the interview Kian Egan, Shane Filan and himself will play a few shots on the course. "Shane is obviously the best player from us all, but today I'll show him a thing or two", Byrne threatened.

Byrne did not want to divulge too much info regarding the concerts, but said that it is always fantastic to perform for South African fans.

"South Africa is always a great place to visit and we have amazing fans here", he said from his luxurious hotel room in the city yesterday.

"It's going to be an exciting performance with all the old favourites and a few new songs".

Furthermore, the Irish heartbreaker did not want to divulge anymore, other than there would be a "surprise" in store.

Byrne said that despite other popgroups breaking up and singers folowing solo careers, it is NOT Westlife's plan.

"I think that's the one thing that makes us different from other groups. We want to keep Westlife alive for as long as we can and as long, especially since we enjoying it so much"

"We 4 normal guys and we know that we lucky to be doing this as a living".

But what will happen when the curtains close?

"We try to spend as much of our free time with our family and friends and to stay as normal and genuine as possible, because we don't think our families will like us if we suddenly became big-headed".

"And if ever we 4 don't see each other for long periods of time after Westlife, we'll call each other up and hang out", said Byrne about his 3 bandmates.

*Westlife, Richter and Bolton perform on March 4th in Johannesburg, March 6th in Port Elizabeth, March 7th in Bloemfontein, March 8th in Durban and March 9th in Cape Town
