I won’t give anything away, but it’s going to be a real pop spectacular. And we are going to get off the stools and do a few routines

What do you think your fans will vote for?
They could surprise us, but I would imagine Flying without wings, will be in there somewhere. We will always be reminded for that song - it’s like our signature record.

What’s your own personal favourite Westlife tune?
You raise me up saved out career. After Brian left, we did the ratpack inspired Allow Us To Be Frank album, but after a while we felt like old men because we’d be singing Mack The Knife for months. It was our lowest selling album and we were all worried the band was f*****ed. But when we released You Raise Me Up in 2005, it exploded.

Do your twin sons Rocco and Jay appreciate your music?
I don’t think so, they’re only seven months! But I do sing to them. Jay said daddy for the first time the other night. It was pretty special...

Do you test drive your albums on you wife, Georgina?
Yes, she’s brutally honest. There are a few albums from the past few years that she’s refused to listen to…

Before you go on stage, who takes the longest to get ready?
I’m the longest in the shower. It’s between me and Shane, although this year Mark has become more fashion conscious. He goes to the gym more, eats a lot more healthily than he used to and takes an interest in his clothes. He’s like a whole new person.

You’ve sold 40 million albums ? what’s next world domination?
Well its Us Against The World- that’s track number 2 on our new album, Back Home.
