Jodi Interview In OK! Magazine -  August 2006

Taking a break from our glamorous shoot in our secret East London location, Jodi Albert is quite happy chatting to OK crew about how she and her other half, Westlife's Kian Egan, are always spotted in public, particularly on the underground. "We can be wearing baseball caps pulled down over our eyes," she says "but some girl will always spot Kian - and on the Tube there’s no escape!"

Of course once Jodi's new TV show Respectable starts in a week or so, it won’t be just her hunk of a boyfriend who will be recognised. In the hilarious new Five sitcom, Jodi raises temperatures as a sexy prostitute working in a brothel. But don’t worry - it’s not as grubby as it sounds, as Jodi is keen to assure us. "If there were any vulgar sex scenes that I didn’t think were necessary, I wouldn’t have done it. But its a comedy, they’ve done it in a way where its not sleazy.

here the gorgeous 23 year old former Hollyoaks beauty reveals all about her plans for marriage and babies, her take on celeb sex videos and why she doesn’t get Kinky for Kian.

HOW DOES IT FEEL BEING ONE HALF OF ONE OF SHOWBIZ'S MOST GLAMOROUS COUPLES?
When I was a little girl I always thought id fall in love and I always believed my prince charming And I’m lucky now I have had my knight in shining armour sweep me off my feet.

YOU MET KIAN 7 YEARS AGO. THAT’S A LONG TIME IN THE WORLD OF CELEBRITY
I met him when I was 15 but we didn’t start dating until I was 19. Kian was such a gentleman. He wasn’t a sleazebag. He knew I was young and that I had respect for myself. He waited so then I knew his feelings were true.

IS THERE A SECRET TO SUCH A LONG LASTING RELATIONSHIP
There’s none at all! All I know is the more years we are together, the more in love we are, and the more time we spend together, the harder it is to be apart. When you find someone who is your best friend, your soulmate and your boyfriend wrapped up in one, it never becomes a chore

HAVE YOU BOTH THOUGHT ABOUT CHILDREN?
We talk about it all the time. We are very much in love but we don’t want to rush anything. With the way our careers are, we have things to do so its all about timing. We both want to get marries and have a fairy tale wedding, I will be pulling out all the stops No expense will be spared, which is why I want to be in the position to do it well. We both want a huge wedding

AND THEN YOU'LL THINK ABOUT KIDS?
When I have them, .I want to be able to devote my life to them. I want to be a young mum, but that could be any time up until I’m 30. Kian and I want to enjoy each others company before we introduce a third party

TELL US ABOUT YOUR NEW SHOW-IN WHICH YOU PLAY A HOOKER
My character, Hayley, is the kind of fun-loving girl who wants to be in Big Brother. The show is like Sex and the city but set in a brothel with a sense of humour like the office.

ARE YOU YOURSELF A BIT OF A PRUDE OR ARE YOU A SEX KITTEN?
I’m a very girlie girl when it comes to romance. I’m quite shy – I’m old-fashioned. I like to be treated like a lady and act like a lady

SO WE WONT BE SEEING ANY PARIS HILTON STYLE VIDEOS FEATURING YOU AND KIAN
No you certainly won’t get that from me. I don’t understand why so many celebrities make those videos. It’s not worth taking the risk

YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO APPEAR ON CELEBRITY X-FACTOR - WHAT HAPPENED?
It wasn’t for me. But music isn’t over for me. I haven’t got any plans and I’m not going to rule it out. But I don’t want to be a cheesy soap star turned pop star. I don’t want to be dolled up in a pop puppet.

BUT YOU WERE IN SIMON COWELL’S ANSWER TO THE SPICE GIRLS - GIRL THING
It was a great experience, but the girls in the band couldn’t get on. For me, I loed it. I got on with everyone. It was a cool job, because I got taken out of school and travelled the whole world. But I’m glad it ended when I was 17 because I got to do other things

YOU’RE A CURVY GIRL DO YOU DIET?
No I eat what I want, little and often, If I want chocolate, ill have it. I don’t believe in starving myself. I do like dancing. so that probably always helps When ever we go to a club we are always dancing

WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF THE NICOLE RICHIE’S OF THIS WORLD?
I don’t like all these really skinny celebs. Women are making themselves look like really skinny celebs. Give me Beyonce anyday. It’s not attractive and its a little creepy. I feel sorry for Nicole because she feels she has to look a certain way.
